Standard tuning
This is the standard service your piano needs every 6-12 months. We meticulously adjust all ~230 strings to A440 concert pitch, ensuring your piano sounds perfectly in tune.
Pitch Raise / Pitch Correction
If your piano hasn’t been tuned in several years, it is likely very flat. A ‘pitch raise’ is a preliminary, rough-pass tuning required before a fine tuning can be performed. This brings the piano back up to proper tension. This is especially important for pianos that have been moved, are in a new environment, or haven’t been tuned in 2+ years.
Regulation (Adjusting the Touch)
Regulation involves adjusting the 1,000+ mechanical parts of the piano’s ‘action.’ This service doesn’t change the pitch, it changes the feel. Fixes sticky keys, uneven key height, and a ‘sluggish’ or unresponsive touch.
Voicing (Adjusting the Tone)
Voicing is the art of adjusting the density and shape of the hammer felts to change the piano’s character. Can make a ‘bright’ or ‘harsh’ piano sound warmer and more mellow, or make a ‘dull’ piano sound clearer and more brilliant.
